Dear Sir or Madam:

I am the Head of the Department of Economics and Management in the school of Hunan University of Science and Engineering, and I am writing to recommend Miss Mimi Zhu who is one of outstanding students in our department, for acceptance into your Master’s Program.

I got to know her personally when she was taking the course of Political Economy that I was teaching. In the class, she showed great interest in economics, perfect performance, she is a quick-witted and diligent girl with the genuine understanding of this course. Surprised me most is she always had the unique thought worked out by her own cogitation based on the knowledge of her reading from various books when she answered my question. I still remembered she got the top score of Political Economy that semester.

Though I just taught her only one course, I know her accomplishment in recent years has been in progress. I have seen her many times in some awards ceremony, such as Scholarship Awards, Outstanding Youth Volunteer Awards and various literary awards. At the drama competition that I worked as a judge, Mimi Zhu depends on her original script to be the runner-up and make the monologue voice by her own.

Mimi Zhu invite me to participate in many volunteer activities that she organized ,for example visit the children who left behind and lonely elderly and do some street sweeping etc.She was very keen to volunteer activities. Last winter she gave me a photograph that she took when she participate in Bring Me Hope(a core group of leaders and interns working with hundreds of volunteers every year to deliver love and encouragement to chinese orphans),when I saw orphans’ and her shining smile in that picture, I am sure she deserved Outstanding Youth Volunteer award .

When Mimi Zhu told me she want to have graduate courses in your school, I support and believe she will work as good as in my school. In view of all that I know of her, I strongly recommend her and hope your school to seriously consider her.
