Topic 2 What sweet music!

I. Overall aim (总体目标):

The overall aim is to develop the students’ integrated skills.

1. Language knowledge（语言知识目标）

a. To be able to learn the following new words and expressions by heart.

b. To be able to master the following sentence structures

1) What are you going to do this Sunday evening?

2) Who is going to sing at the concert?

3) Where is she going to give the concert?

4) What time is it going to start?

5) They can lend you some tapes of her songs.

c. To learn the words and expressions related to music and music instruments

2. Language skills（语言技能目标）

a. To develop Ss’ speaking skills with their familiar topic with their music meanwhile their corresponding skill—listening is also promoted.

b.To be able to do pairwork and individual work through the activities as “Look, listen and say” , “Pairwork” “Work alone”.

3. Motivations & Attitudes（语言情感目标）

a. To motivate Ss to participate, with wonderful pictures and beautiful music which are closely related to their life.

b. To encourage Ss to do listening comprehension, imitate the tape and act it out. c. To build up Ss’ confidence and to foster their habit of independent learning, cooperative learning and exploring learning
