Christmas Day

Christmas Day is an important national festival on Dec. 25th every year in western countries.

From December 24th to next January 6th is Christmas feast. Christmas is the holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas Color

Christmas comes; every household is decorated with red, green and white colors.

Red is Christmas flowers and Christmas candles.

Green is the Christmas tree.

White is the snowman.

Christmas tree

Christmas trees are made of evergreen tree and represent the long lives.

People put candles, flowers, toys, stars and presents on the tree. Every tree must have a big star at the top of the tree, symbolized star that guide the magi found Jesus.

And in the traditional custom, only the Lord of a family can put the star, others can't hang the long-term.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus is a good old man who sends a gift to good children on Christmas Eve.

It is said that Santa Claus would drive reindeer, enter into the house quietly by the chimney, and put present in

stocking which hangs on the head of a bed.

Christmas dinner

Typical items usually found at an American family's Christmas dinner would include turkey and dressing (or sometimes chicken, duck, goose or ham), potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes , green vegetables, cranberry, sauce, nuts, fruits, fruit-cake, plum pudding, pumpkin and/or mincemeat pies and sweets. Eggnog is usually the favorite drink for the whole family.
