ABSTRACT

Newsolutionmethodswereconsideredformigrationde-convolutioninseismicimagingproblems.Itiswellknownthatdirectmigrationmethods,usingtheadjointoperatorL*,yieldalower-resolutionorblurredimage,andthatthelinear-izedinversionofseismicdataforthere ectivitymodelusu-allyrequiressolvinga regularized least-squaresmigrationproblem.Weobservedthatthe regularized least-squaresmethodiscomputationallyexpensive,whichbecomesase-vereobstacleforpracticalapplications.Iterativegradient-de-scentmethodswerestudiedandanef cientmethodformi-grationdeconvolutionwasdeveloped.Theproblemwasfor-mulatedbyincorporatingregularizingconstraints,andthenanonmonotonegradient-descentmethodwasappliedtoaccel-eratetheconvergence.Totestthepotentialoftheapplicationofthedevelopedmethod,synthetictwo-dimensionalandthree-dimensionalseismic-migration-deconvolutionsimula-tionswereperformed.Numericalperformanceindicatesthatthismethodispromisingforpracticalseismicmigrationimaging.
